Ever since my mom made me clean up the tupperware cabinet as a kid, I have been interested in getting the most usable space from the kitchen. When I moved away to the Bay Area for college, my first apartment showed me how awful some tiny kitchens could be! My next college place–a tiny cottage behind a house–showed me how a well-designed, beautiful kitchen (and bath!) could change your whole perspective on a tiny space. When I moved to Manhattan for graduate school, people thought I had a large kitchen. I did from a NYC perspective, but again, it had a poor layout. I moved back to Southern California and started designing kitchens, because let’s face it, most kitchens were designed for a quick, cheap build. Let’s change that kitchen and make it work for you!
